Robert Hutson Carter, your father, married first Josephine Norman, and they had five sons and two daughters, Florence and Belle, John and Tommie, Will, Luther ands Norman. Their mother died, and then he married again and had little Robert. His second wife was Mary Boden of Springville, Henry County, Tennessee.
Asbury Carter married Eliza Moore. They had two sons and one daughter, Richard and Carlton. He lives in Milan, Gibson County. Robert Yancey was at Nashville the last I heard of him. Mary married a Methodist minister in Alabama. I don't know their names. Asbury's wife died a few years ago, then he married a widow Lenear. They live in Milan. He and Harriett are all of Bob's children who are living.
Henry Newton Carter married Mary Wood. She had one girl and two boys. Ester Williams married Garnet Hatchell. They and all their children are dead. William Wood Carter went to Mississippi when young. He left three children, Willie, Mary and Fannie. I don't know where they are.
Ruben Turner Carter left two boys and two girls. Jesse L Carter died a few years ago in Crockett County. Harve of Crockett County and Ruben of Nebraska are his sons. John Hooney Carter of the Fifth District is Ruben's other son. Then Henry Newton Carter's wife died and when his three children were small and then he married Mollie Reeves, and they raised four children, one boy and three girls. Lula Marion married a Carter and they moved to Arkansas. She left four children in Fortner County. His other children, Nancy Carter and Rhoda Frances and John Milton never married. John Milton was blind. They are all dead only Rhoda Frances ( The one who is writing this history).
Jesse H. Carter married Elizabeth McKinney. They raised ten children. Albert Alexander was the father of John S. Carter of Mckenzie and Jesse Osroe of Crockett County and Lussa of near Carter's Chapel. These are all his children. Ralph Silvane has no children. Thomas Henry Harrison Carter has one son, James Robert. That is all he has living. John Eccles left four sons and two daughters, Rosa Will Cole and Ethel Mina Gilkey. His sons are Clarence and Robert and Clyde (or Dick as he is generally called) and Macksey. Robert Hutson has five children. Herman and Hersey are his boys, Jesse Bud Parham of McLemoresville, Nerva Poe Parrum, Ben Calvert od Atwood and Lula Boy Sutton of near Carter's Chapel. Catherine Jessie Carter, Albert's girl never married. She lived to be quite old. Nancy Emeline married Ruben Carter, Ruth Adeline married Dan Kirby, Sarah married John W. William's. John Robert Williams of near Trezevant is her son, and Lillie Bob Leach is her daughter. Margaret married Dr. Joseph Biggart, Esq. John T. Biggart of the Sixth District is her son and also Albert Alexander of Arkansas and Lucian. She has one girl Cassie Cecil McGowan. There are just four of Jesse Carter's children living. They all live in the Fifth District of Carroll County.
